Sōla Lamp 01
A soulful collaboration with local potter, Martin Bartholomae - Tungoma Pottery.
In Martin's countryside studio, where sunlight filters through, he slowly shapes organic vessels with deliberate care. His self built Japanese kick wheel whispers quiet rhythms, as the wood-fired kiln breathes life into each piece.
A shared vision inspired by his original vessel-like coffee mug:
Studio KÁJA and Martin designed and formed a table lamp that brings both art and light into every space. Each lamp is unique and bears the soft marks of human touch - a wabi way of design and seeing the beauty in the imperfect.
Materials:
- Hand-thrown stoneware pottery, uniquely imperfect
- High-quality lamp holders, brass fittings and woven fabric cable from Hoi P’loy
- Custom-made lampshades in Home Fabrics' Naturama range, made from recycled polyester and organic cotton
- Handcrafted wooden washers from Middle African timber finished with a water based varnish
Dimensions: 320mm H x 300mm W
